Detailed Safari: 3-Day Gorilla Trek from Entebbe

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be met and greeted by our representative who will brief you about what to expect during the 3 days gorilla trekking adventure. You will then embark on the journey to the home of mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is situated in south western Uganda and is the home of half of the remaining mountain gorillas. Your first stopover will be at the equator for pictures and shopping from the craft shops if you are interested. The next stopover will be in Mbara for hot lunch and refreshments. Along the way, you will enjoy great views of the landscape, the long-horned Ankole cattle, tea plantations, and open grasslands. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Batwa cultural tour

After early breakfast and with a lunch box, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will enter the forest to search for the gentle giants in thick forest with slippery slopes covered with vegetation and mist. Gorilla trekking is an exhausting activity, but sighting the mountain gorillas is fully satisfying. When you meet the mountain gorillas, you will only be permit to spend with an hour and during that hour, please take as many pictures as possible. You will watch the gorillas play, feed, nurture their young ones, an interact. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you will go for the Batwa cultural tour, and during the cultural tour you will learn more about the ways of life of the Batwa people.

Day 3: Transfer back to the airport.

This is the last day of your 3 days gorilla trekking adventure. After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer back to Entebbe international airport for your flight to the next destination.
