Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met and greeted by our representative. He will briefly take you through the trip plan and then transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a brief stopover at Ellen DE generous museum for virtual gorilla trekking. You will then cross the Cyanika boarder and proceed with your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 2: First gorilla trek & Batwa cultural tour

After early breakfast and with a lunch box, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will enter the forest to search for the gentle giants in thick forest with slippery slopes in the vegetation covered with mist. Gorilla trekking is an exhausting activity but sighting the mountain gorillas is fully satisfying. When you meet the mountain gorillas, you will only be permit to spend with an hour and during that hour, please take as many pictures as possible. You will watch the gorillas play, feed, nurture their young ones, an interact. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you will go for the Batwa cultural tour and during the cultural tour you will learn more about the ways of life of the Batwa people.

Day 3: Second gorilla trek

After an early breakfast and with a lunch box, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about the code of conduct during gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family and then enter the forest in company of armed ranger guides. You will enjoy the beauty and freshness of this impenetrable forest. Bwindi is a home to the half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You will continue through the thick vegetation to trek these gentle giants and the distance to be walked will be determined by where they slept the previous night. After spotting the gorillas, you will only be allowed to spend with the one hour and this is done for conservation reasons. Watch these endangered species as they socialize, feed, play, feed and train their young ones. You will head back to the lodge for refreshment and relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer to the airport for the flight back home.

This is the last day of your 3 days gorilla trekking adventure. After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
