Detailed Itinerary: 7-Day Luxury Rwanda Primate Safari Package
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali and transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will go to the immigration desk to acquire the visa. After, you will proceed to the arrivals where you will meet our representative. Our representative will introduce you to the driver guide for a brief introduction. The driver guide will transfer you to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Kigali city tour and fly to Nyungwe forest national park
Following breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to the Kigali city center for the city tour. You will begin with the visit to the Gisozi genocide museum and while there, you will learn more about what transpired during the April 1994 genocide that claimed thousands of lives. You will proceed to the Belgium museum, Inema arts gallery, local markets and craft markets for shopping. After the city tour, you will have lunch and then transfer to Kigali International Airport for the flight to Nyungwe. Upon landing, the driver guide will pick you up and then transfer you to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
After an early breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters with packed lunch and enough drinking water. At the park headquarters, you will receive briefing about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. In the company of armed ranger guide, you will proceed to the forest for the amazing encounter that starts as early as 7am. You might sight numerous bird species. Chimpanzee are generally very playful and they have some humanlike traits that make the long day Their playfulness and human -like characteristics make the long day meaningful.
If you are lucky enough, there are some chances of being welcomed in the forest by chimpanzee calls. After locating the chimpanzees, you will be permitted to be in their presence for a period of one hour watching them play, feed and socialize. In the afternoon, you will go back to the park headquarters for briefing about canopy walk.
This canopy walk consists of three bridges and three towers and the total walk way length is 200m. The canopy walkway is entrenched under supervision along the igishigishigitrail. On this tour, an experienced park guide will show you the forest canopy also explain to you the reason as to why it is an essential part in the rainforest ecosystem. You will acquire more knowledge about the key traits of a rainforest and the significance of Nyungwe forest to Rwanda.

Day 4: Helicopter flight to Volcanoes National Park
After early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for the helicopter flight to Musanze. Upon touching down, the driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will be taken to the Ellen de generous by Dian Fossey Museum to participate in the virtual gorilla trek.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience
Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for briefing. After briefing, you will be allocated gorilla families and in each gorilla family, there will be 8 tourists. You will then be transferred to the starting point of the gorilla trek which begins at 8am. A silverback is the head of the gorilla family and it is his duty to protect and safeguard the family members. After the 1 hour with these gentle giants, you will hike back to the starting point of the hike where the driver guide will meet you and transfer you back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 6: Golden monkey trekking and Ibwiwachu cultural tour
Following an early breakfast at the lodge, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing, you will be driven to the starting point of the trek. Once you locate the golden monkeys, you will be allowed to spend with them one hour. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will go for the Ibwiwachu cultural tour where you will learn more about the breath-taking Kinyarwanda traditional, cultural dances, and drama.

Day 7: Helicopter flight back to Kigali
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to the airstrip for the helicopter flight to Kigali international airport.
