Detailed Itinerary: Akagera and Rwanda Gorillas Helicopter Safari
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Upon touching down at Kigali international airport, you will proceed to the immigration desk for visa acquision. You will then proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide. He will then transfer you to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Fly to Akagera National Park with an afternoon boat cruise
After heavy and tasty breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to Kigali international airport for the flight to Akagera. Upon arrival at the airstrip, the driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, you will be transferred to the docking point for the afternoon boat cruise along Lake Ihema. During the launch cruise, you will adore the cool breeze while observing numerous wildlife species on the lake Ihema shores. You will spot animals like elephants, Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos and numerous bird species. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: Morning game drive and Evening Game Drive
Following an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the starting point of the game drive. During the game drive, you will have an opportunity of spotting different wildlife species and a variety of bird species. You will spot animals such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, lions among others. After the game drive, you will go back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, you will set out for an afternoon game drive and during this game drive, you will spot animals such as Elephants, Zebras, impalas, lions among others. After the game drive, you will be transferred to the lodge for relaxation, diner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Fly to Musanze and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Depending on your flight schedule, you will check out of the lodge with the help of your driver guide and then transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Musanze. Upon arrival, the driver guide will pick you up from the airstrip and transfer the lodge for lunch. In the evening, you will be taken to the Ellen de generous by Dian Fossey for a virtual gorilla trek.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience
After an early breakfast, the driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. With an armed ranger guide, you will be taken to the starting point of gorilla trekking. You will have a chance to trek these gentle giants in the wilderness. Gorilla trekking requires 2 to 6 hours and the time spent to locate the gorillas is determined by where the gorillas spent the previous night. You will watch the gorillas for an hour as you watch them interact, play, feed and nurture their young ones. After the trek, you will head back to the lodge.

Day 6: Golden monkey trekking and Ibwiwachu cultural tour
Following an early breakfast at the lodge, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing, you will be driven to the starting point of the trek. Once you locate the golden monkeys, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will go for the Ibwiwachu cultural tour where you will learn more about the breath-taking Kinyarwanda traditional, cultural dances, and drama.

Day 7: Fly back to Kigali
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Kigali international airport.
