Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport
Welcome to Rwanda. When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, you proceed to the immigration desk to acquire a Rwanda visa. After getting the visa, you will proceed to the arrivals where you will meet your driver guide. He will warmly welcome you and then drive you to the hotel for relaxation and dinner.

Day 2: Fly to Volcanoes National Park and Dian Fossey
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Kigali international airport for the flight to Musanze. Upon touching down, the driver guide will pick you up from Musanze and transfer you to the lodge for lunch are relaxation. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Ellen DE generous by Dian Fossey Museum for a virtual gorilla trekking experience.

Day 3: First gorilla trek
Waking up with the beautiful views of the Virunga ranges, you will have early breakfast and then transfer to the Kinigi park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be assigned a gorilla family based on your fitness level. In the company of the ranger guide, you will get into the jungle to search for the gentle giants. When you locate the mountain gorillas, you will only spend with them a period of one hour watching them play, interact, feed and nurture their young ones. After the trek, you will hike back to the starting point to of the hike where you will meet the driver guide to transfer you back to the lodge.

Day 4: Second gorilla trek
After an early breakfast, the driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for the briefing about the code of conduct and how to behave around the gorillas. You are strongly advised to carry your parked lunch, enough drinking water and hiring porters is an added advantage because the time taken in the forest cannot be predicted. Following briefing and in the company of ranger guides, gorilla families will be allocated to you and there after you will enter the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas slept the previous night. Gorilla trekking requires physical fitness however clients who are not fit enough can either use sedan chairs or hire potters. After meeting the gorillas, you will only be permitted to spend with them one hour and during the one hour you are allowed to take pictures and record videos of the gorillas.

Day 5: Third gorilla trek
Following early breakfast, the guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will enter the forest for the actual gorilla trek.
An exhilarating trek via the enchanted foothills of the Virunga ranges offers intriguing views. directions. When you get deep in the forest, you will spot numerous bird species and butterflies. The duration of the trek is determined by the location of gorillas and where they slept the previous night. You locate the gorillas; you will get allowed to spend with them 1 hour and you will be allowed to take pictures.

Day 6: Fly to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Nyungwe. Upon touching down, you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. You will spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking at Nyungwe
Wake up very early, have breakfast, and then transfer to the park headquarters with parked lunch. At the park headquarters, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking and after briefing you will embark on the chimpanzee trekking experience. You will hike for a short period of time until you locate where the chimpanzees slept the previous night. You will spot chimpanzees jumping from one tree to another making a lot of noise. In case you are interested in taking pictures, you must be very attentive because the chimpanzees the jump st a very high speed. When you spot them, you will only be permitted to spend an hour with them.

Day 8: Full day at leisure in Nyungwe
You will spend the whole day at the hotel relaxing. You can choose to take part in hotel in-house games like swimming, massage and spa.

Day 9: Canopy Walk and fly to Kigali
After breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters for briefing about canopy walk.
This canopy walk consists of three bridges and three towers and the total walk way length is 200m. The canopy walkway is entrenched under supervision along the igishigishigi trail. On this tour, an experienced park guide will show you the forest canopy also explain to you the reason as to why it is an essential part in the rainforest ecosystem. You will acquire more knowledge about the key traits of a rainforest and the significance of Nyungwe forest to Rwanda. After the canopy walk, you will fly back to Kigali.
