A 10-day Uganda Great Apes and Wildlife Tour
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to the hotel
Welcome to the pearl of Africa! Our driver guide will meet you at the arrivals for a warm welcome. You will embark on the 20 minutes journey to your hotel in Entebbe.
Accommodation: Entebbe forest lodge (Luxury)/ Western Premier Hotel (Midrange)

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park
Following breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel with the help of your driver guide and start on the journey to Kibale Forest national park. Kibale forest is nicknamed as the primate capital. You will have stopovers for photo moments, bathroom breaks and enroute lunch. The transfer from Entebbe to Kibale Forest national park takes roughly 7 hours driving. Upon arrival, you will settle in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland visit
After a tasty breakfast, you will be transferred to the Kanyanchu headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. The actual chimpanzee trekking starts at 8am and it lasts between 2 to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees slept the previous night.
Kibale forest national park is a home to other diverse primates and they will be spotted the trek. These include L’Hoest monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, olive baboons, bush babies and numerous bird species. After spotting the chimps, you will spend with them 1 hour and you will have a golden opportunity of taking pictures.
After an amazing time with the chimps, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you go for the Bigodi wetland visit.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth with afternoon game drive.
After breakfast, you will leave Kibale for Queen Elizabeth national park. This journey takes approximately 4 hours through numerous plantations and spectacular crater lakes. On arrival at the park gate, you will pay park entrance fees and proceed to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will set out for a late afternoon game drive. The game drive gives you a golden opportunity of seeing numerous mammals inclusive of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, kobs and numerous bird species. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Following breakfast, you will be driven to Kasenyi plains for a morning game drive. During the game drive, you will spot animals such as elephants, topi, buffaloes, warthogs, lions, leopards, hyenas, antelopes and numerous bird species.
The game drive takes between 3 to 5 hours so please remember to carry enough drinking water, cameras and binoculars. After the game drive full of adventure, you will go back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will be driven to the Kazinga channel docking point boat cruise. On the boat cruise, you will spot numerous animals such as Nile crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and a number of bird species on the banks.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following breakfast, you will embark on the journey to the home of the gentle giants. Bwindi impenetrable is a place of residence to half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas which you will see during the trek. With an exhausting day ahead, you will just check-in for relaxation upon arrival. You will use the evening for relaxation as you contemplate on the gorilla trekking adventure the next day.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking experience
Following early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing. We advise our clients to carry packed lunch, enough fluids and also hiring a potter since gorilla trekking is strenuous. After briefing, you will be allocated gorilla trekking families depending on your level of fitness and each gorilla family is allocated to 8 tourists. Gorilla trekking lasts between 2 to 6 hours and the time spent on the trek is determined by where the gorillas slept the previous night. When you locate the mountain gorillas, you will spend with them 1 hour watching them play, feed and nurture their young ones. When you meet them, it is a once in a life experience so please take enough pictures. After the trek, you will hike back to the park headquarters to receive a gorilla trekking certificate. Your guide will transfer you back to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 8: Boat ride along lake Mutanda and transfer to Mgahinga
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to Lake Mutanda for a relaxed boat ride. The boat ride along Lake Mutanda will last between 2–3 hours. As you are fascinating every tranquil moment on the boat, you will view the distinctive attributes of Lake Mutanda. After the boat ride, you will continue with your journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Day 9: Golden monkey habituation and departure
After an early breakfast and with packed lunch, you will get ready get ready for the exciting golden monkey habituation experience. You will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing and allocation of ranger guides. You will enter the forest you will to search for these cheerful golden monkeys. You will watch them as they jump from one tree to another, feed, play, interact and socialise. After your trek, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your flight to the next destination.
