Detailed Itinerary: A 10-day Luxury East African Safari to Volcanoes/Tarangire/Serengeti
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali and transfer to the hotel.
On the first day of the safari, you will be picked up from Kigali International Airport by our representative. Our representative will introduce you to the driver guide and then transfer to Rwanda’s capital city. You will settle in the hotel and then transfer to Kigali for the city tour. During the city tour, you will visit destinations like Gisozi genocide museum, Belgium museum, craft centers, local markets among others.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast at your convenient time and then embark on the 3 hours journey to Volcanoes national park with beautiful views of the landscape. Upon arrival you will check-in at the lodge for relaxation and lunch. If time allows, you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres museum for virtual gorilla trekking.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking & Ibwiwachu cultural tour
With packed lunch and drinking water, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will be allocated gorilla families and divided into groups of 8 per gorilla family. In company of the armed ranger guides, you will get into the forest to such for the gentle giants. When you locate the mountain gorillas, you will only be allowed to spend a period of 1 hour with them, watching them pay, nurture their young ones, fees and breast feed. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you will go for the Ibwiwachu cultural tour where you will learn more about the breath-taking Kinyarwanda traditional, cultural dances, and drama.

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking and transfer back to Kigali
This morning after breakfast, you will be taken for golden monkey trekking at Volcanoes National Park. These golden monkeys possess extraordinary traits and are very easy to identify by the color. After the trek, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your flight to Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro, our representative will pick you up and then transfer to your hotel in Arusha for relaxation dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, the driver guide will pick you up from the hotel where you slept the previous night. He will transfer you to Tarangire national park with memorable views of the country side. Tarangire national park is a place of residence to biggest population of elephants in the country and is famous for its old baobab trees. You will meet these enormous animals face to face and learn how elephant families socialize. Throughout the game drive, you will sight animals such as zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, lions, leopards, cheetahs among others. Later, you will have picnic lunch with beautiful views of river and wildlife.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti national park
Have breakfast and then embark on the journey to Serengeti national park via the cooler highlands. Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest national park and is endowed with various landscapes and habitats. Serengeti is known for the migration that takes place every year and during migration, thousands of wildebeest and Zebras cross to find fresh food and water. Later in the afternoon, you will have picnic lunch in central Serengeti and then start the game drive to see Serengeti’s sunset and the wildlife. After the game drive, you will head to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 7: Full day game drive
Following breakfast, you will get into the Serengeti plains for a full day exploring the park with morning and afternoon game drive. Serengeti national park offers unquestionably most excellent game viewing amongst all the national parks in Africa. The national park is a home to enormous herds of wildebeest that make mass migration yearly. During the game drive, you will spot animals such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, gazelles, giraffes, hippos, and gazelles.
After the morning game drive, you will have picnic lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive. Expect to see numerous bird species, lions, leopards, cheetahs, gazelles, antelopes, elephants among others. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 8: Hot air balloon and afternoon game drive
Wake up early and have breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the to the starting point of hot air balloon. During the hot air balloon safari, you will experience a thrilling scenery over Serengeti national park. You will be amazed by the breathtaking sunrise and watch wildlife from above. After the amazing balloon ride experience, you will enjoy the champagne breakfast in the wilderness. You will spend the remaining hours of the day enjoying the game drive.

Day 9: Morning game drive and transfer to the Ngorongoro highlands
Have breakfast and set out for yet another exciting game drive in the vast plains of Serengeti national park. After the game drive, you will have a scenic transfer that climbs into the Ngorongoro conservation area highlands. Tonight you will have an overnight stay at the rim and the view will be a lifetime memory.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater and transfer to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro crater for a full day game drive. Ngorongoro crater is often referred to as a lost world. During the game drive, expect to see animals such as lions, black rhino, flamingos, hippos, buffaloes all contained within one volcanic bowl. A game drive on the crater floor is genuinely incomparable to anything else on the continent. After a full day of exploring the crater floor, you will be transferred to Arusha for the flight to the nest destination.
