Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes national park

Welcome to the land of a thousand hills. Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will proceed to the immigration desk to acquire the visa. Afterwards, you will walk to the arrivals to meet your driver guide who will be carrying a placard for easy identification.  He will warmly welcome you, help you with your luggage take you to the safari vehicle. You will embark on the 2 hours and 30 minutes journey to Volcanoes national park. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Ibwiwachu

After a tasty early breakfast, you will get into the safari vehicle for the transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Since the time spend during gorilla trekking is unpredictable, we highly advise our clients to carry packed lunch, enough fluids and also hire a porter to assist you carry your back bag. After briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family and then drive to the starting point of the trek in company of an armed ranger guide.

Gorilla trekking takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. When you locate the gorillas, you will only be allowed to spend with them 1 hour watching them play, feed, nurture their young ones. When you meet the gorillas, take as many pictures as possible for memories.

Day 3: Golden monkey & transfer to Nairobi

Following breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of golden monkey trekking. After briefing, you will be divided into group and then head to the potato plantations to search for the golden monkeys. After the trek, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to Kigali to Nairobi.  Upon touching down at Nairobi, you will procced to the arrivals to meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the hotel for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Masai mara

After an early breakfast, you will leave Nairobi for Masai Mara game You first stopover will be at the escarpment for picture moments. Masai mara is among the most famous destinations in Kenya. Animals that mingle freely in Masai mara include leopards, lions, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants among others.  Your search for the African wildlife safari will get contentment at Masai Mara. Upon arrival, you will check-in and then embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset.

Day 5: Full day Masai Mara

Following breakfast, you will head to the Mara plains for a full day game drive. While leaving the lodge in the morning, you will go with packed lunch to utilize the time for game drives and also cover the Mara River. The Mara River is among the renown rivers where Wildebeest migration happens yearly.  The Mara provides wildlife viewing opportunities in plenty and abundance in that it is very hard to accept that over 450 animal species reside here. Animals that will be sighted with ease include rhinos, lions, crocodiles, hippos, wildebeest, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, jackals, warthogs, hyenas, wild dogs, elephants, leopards among others. You will perhaps see the most breathtaking event of the natural world happens and it’s referred to as the wildebeest migration. Wildebeest migration happens every year and millions of zebras and wildebeest and zebra cross from Serengeti searching for water and pasture. The predators such as the lions, wild dogs, cheetahs, hyenas and vultures are always following the wildebeest migration.

Day 6: Transfer to Nakuru national park

Wake up very early and transfer to the mara plains for yet another exciting morning game drive. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and after breakfast you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Nakuru national park. This national park is situated in the great rift valley and you will arrive at lunch time. After having lunch at the lodge, you will set out for an afternoon game drive until sunset. This park is famous for having numerous bird species approximating to 400 bird species which include lovers, pelicans, marabou stork among others.  Lake Nakuru national park is one of the not many places in Africa where the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe can be spotted. This park also has leopards, lions among many other animal species.

Day 7: Transfer to Amboseli national park

After an early breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on the 5 hours journey to Amboseli national park. This national park is famous for its beautiful scenery with a background of the snowcapped mountain Kilimanjaro that overshadows the landscape and grassland. You will arrive at the park with game drive proceeding and check-in at the lodge for lunch.  After lunch, you will set out for an afternoon game drive in search for the famous residents such as cheetahs, lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, zebras Jackals, giraffes, hippos while enjoying the view of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Day 8: Full day Amboseli national park

Following breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive. During the game drive, you will search for animals such as zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, antelopes among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.  After lunch, you will go back to the park for a late afternoon game drive with the views of the Mount Kilimanjaro peakwhich can be seen clearly on clear sunny days from the observation hill. Numerous elephant herds and hippos can be spotted bathing in the swamps that use Mt Kilimanjaro as a water source.

Day 9: Morning game drive and transfer Nairobi for the flight to Diani

After an early morning game drive, you will return to the lodge for a tasty breakfast. You will then checkout of the lodge and transfer to Nairobi for the flight to Diani. Upon arrival, the driver guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel for relaxation and dinner.

Day 10: Full day at leisure

Today you will spend the entire day at the lodge admiring the beauty of the beaches, walking along the beach and taking part in the hotel in house games such as swimming, massage among others.

Day 11:Wasini Island Dolphin Day trip.

After an early breakfast, the driver will pick you up from the hotel and for the transfer to Shimoni Jetty. On arrival at Shimoni Jetty, you will board a boat and sail for close to an hour looking for dolphins.  You will sail to Kisite marine national park for snorkeling and swimming. Have sea and Swahili food lunch at the island and sail to the mangrove swamps to pay a visit to the Wasini Island. At Wasini island, you will acquire more knowledge about the Swahili people and the history of Arabs. You will also visit the Shimoni Slave caves where the slaves were kept before shipping them to Arabia in 18th century.

Day 12: Full day Scuba diving

This day is committed to underwater adventures and discovering the culture. The day will begin with the thrilling scuba diving encounter where experienced instructors will give you guidance through the stunning coral reefs and marine ecosystems located along the Kenyan coast. Afterwards, you will participate in a captivating tide pool walk during low tide giving you an opportunity of observing the tinny sea creatures, shells and rare marine preparations nearby. During the afternoon hours, you will pay a visit to the lively Maasai market where local people display handmade crafts such as jewelry, fabrics, carvings, paintings and souvenirs that define Kenya’s culture.

Day 13: Transfer to the airport for the flight

After breakfast and depending on your flight schedule, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
