Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is angelically placed in the southwestern part of Uganda. It is home to half of the world’s remaining population of Mountain gorillas living within the thick, dense bamboo forest of the conservation area. These are characterized by their thick-furred bodies, large in size, gentle, and herbivorous in nature, living in families of up to 20 members led by a male silverback. The Park offers an exclusive encounter with gorillas in their natural habitats. Luxury accommodation at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park includes Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, a luxurious Lodge within the Nkuringo community placed high at Nteko Ridge overlooking the Bwindi Forest; it is shadowed by the three volcanic mountains of the great Virunga Mountains, comprising 2 families and 6 stand-alone stone-built chalets constructed from stone. The material used depicts a traditional colonial style using local materials from the surroundings. The rooms feature fireplaces, spacious living room areas, en-suite bathrooms running both hot and cold water, and private verandas. The main lodge area has a very cozy feel with soaring ceilings, massive exposed wooden beams, and big picture windows that offer endless views of the forest and volcanic mountains at a distance, and rock walkways connecting the main Lodge area to the rooms.
Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Lodge is a luxury tented camp tucked deep within the heart of the forest, offering breathtaking views of the park. The property features 8 beautiful and eco-friendly rooms that have been constructed to fit within the environment in which they have been built, the lodge is very captivating with occasional visits of gorillas due to its supreme location, the main Lodge area features a lounge, a bar serving assorted drinks to travelers an a mini spa area, each of the 8 tents is very spacious and stylish featuring an ensuite bathroom, a huge bathtub, flush toilet and assorted toiletries, extending on a wooden veranda.
Silverback Lodge is angelically placed in the Buhoma Sector of Bwindi, within 5 minutes’ walk to the park headquarters and is the largest facility in the area built with local material to fit within the environment it has been placed, with views of the tree tops and into the mist, mornings begin with songs from siging birds and evenings end in fire lights and cozy beds, there are 12 rooms set with a view of the forest featuring a neat bathroom, flush toilet, and a little stone patio at the front the spa area is small but classic offering hot stone massages perfect after a gorilla trek. Each of the rooms receives a private butler service.
Chameleon Hill Lodge is placed in the southwestern part of Uganda, perfectly between the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park, offering incredible views of the great Virunga Mountains.
