A 5-Day Helicopter Gorilla Experience in Rwanda
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali and transfer to the hotel
Upon touching down at Kigali International Airport, you will proceed to the arrivals, where you will meet the driver guide. He will be carrying a placard with your name for easy identification. You will be transferred to the hotel for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Fly to Musanze and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Following breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and transfer to Kigali International Airport for the flight to Musanze (Volcanoes National Park). Upon arrival at Musanze, the driver guide will transfer you to the lodge for lunch. Since you have a long day the following day, we highly advise that you have an afternoon at leisure.

Day 3: First gorilla trek
Following early breakfast, the guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will enter the forest for the actual gorilla trek.
An exhilarating trek via the enchanted foothills of the Virunga ranges offers intriguing views. directions. When you get deep in the forest, you will spot numerous bird species and butterflies. The duration of the trek is determined by the location of gorillas and where they slept the previous night. You locate the gorillas; you will get allowed to spend with them 1 hour and you will be allowed to take pictures.

Day 4: Second gorilla trek and Ibwiwachu cultural tour
After an early breakfast, the driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for the briefing about the code of conduct and how to behave around the gorillas. You are strongly advised to carry your parked lunch, enough drinking water, and hiring porters is an added advantage because the time taken in the forest cannot be predicted. Following the briefing and in the company of ranger guides, gorilla families will be allocated to you and there after you will enter the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas slept the previous night. Gorilla trekking requires physical fitness however, clients who are not fit enough can either use sedan chairs or hire potters. After meeting the gorillas, you will only be permitted to spend with them one hour and during the one hour you are allowed to take pictures and record videos of the gorillas. After the trek, you will be taken back to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you will go for the Ibwiwachu cultural tour.

Day 5: Third gorilla trek and fly to Kigali
Waking up with the beautiful views of the Virunga ranges, you will have early breakfast and then transfer to the Kinigi park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be assigned a gorilla family based on your fitness level. In the company of the ranger guide, you will get into the jungle to search for the gentle giants. When you locate the mountain gorillas, you will only spend with them a period of one hour watching them play, interact, feed and nurture their young ones. After the trek, you will hike back to the starting point of the hike, where you will meet the driver-guide to be transferred back to the lodge for relaxation. Afterwards you will board the flight back to Kigali.
