10-Day classic Uganda Gorillas and Kenya Safari with Giraffe Centre
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Welcome to the land of a thousand hills. Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will proceed to the immigration desk to acquire the Rwanda visa. After getting the visa, you will proceed to the arrivals to meet your driver guide. The driver guide will warmly welcome you and then drive you to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1: Kigali city tour and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Have breakfast and checkout of the hotel for the transfer to Kigali city center for the city tour. You will start with visiting the Gisozi genocide museum to learn more about what transpired during the April 1994 genocide that claimed lives of thousands of Rwandese. You will also visit the Belgium museum, Muslim quarters, craft markets and local markets. After the city tour, you will have lunch and then cross the Cyanika boarder for the transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and cultural tour
Wake up early have a hearty and get into the safari vehicle for the transfer to the park headquarters. At the briefing point, you will be about the code of conduct of gorilla trekking. After briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family and in company of an armed ranger you will get into the forest to search for the gentle giants. Gorilla trekking takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on their movement that day. When you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend with them 1 hour watching them play, feed, interact and nurture their young ones. When you meet them, please take as many pictures as possible. In the evening, you will go for the Batwa community tour where you will learn more about their ways of life and take part in their traditional dances.

Day 4: Transfer to the airport for the flight to Nairobi
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to Kigali international airport for the flight to Nairobi. If time allows, you will do some last-minute shopping at Kigali before heading to the airport. Upon arrival at Nairobi, the driver guide will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 5: Transfer to Amboseli national park
Following breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and drive southwards to Amboseli national park. This national park is famous for breathtaking Mount Kilimanjaro views and huge elephant herds. The transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli takes approximately 4-5 hours driving and this means you will arrive at the park at lunch time. During the afternoon hours, you will go for your first game drive. Please keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, elephants, and numerous bird species.

Day 6: Full day exploring Amboseli national park
Today you will spend the whole day exploring the beauties of Amboseli national park. Start the day with early morning breakfast and go for the morning game drive. Morning hours is the best time to spot animals because they are very active before the sun comes out. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, you will go back to the park for yet another exciting game drive and exploring different areas of Amboseli. You will also get the opportunity of visiting the Masai village to acquire more information about the traditions and culture.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to Lake Nakuru national park. This transfer takes approximately6-7 hours driving and along the way, you will have a stopover for enroute lunch. Upon arrival at the park in the afternoon, you will check-in as you enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and the park. Late in the afternoon, you will go for the first game drive with high chances of spotting rhinos, giraffes, flamingoes among others.

Day 8: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Following early breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to the world’s renown Maasai Mara national reserve. This transfer takes approximately 5-6 hours driving hence you will arrive at the park at lunch time. Upon reaching at Masai mara, you will check-in at the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon game drive. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive in the plains Masai Mara a place of residence to plenty of wildlife inclusive of leopards, lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Full day Masai mara
Start the day with early morning breakfast and then drive to the reserve to search animals that are most active in the morning hours. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation. In the mid-morning, you will either go for a guided nature walk or pay a visit to the Maasai village. After a hot lunch, you will head back to the park for yet another exciting game drive and searching for animals such as giraffes, warthogs, baboons, warthogs, hyenas, impalas, topis, wildebeest, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, lions and cheetahs.

Day 10: Transfer to Nairobi
Today being your final day of the safari, you will have breakfast and embark on the journey to Nairobi with an enroute game drive. Upon arrival at Nairobi, you will have lunch and then drive to the airport for the flight to the nest destination. If time allows, you will go for a brief Nairobi city tour before heading to the airport.
