Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Mgahinga National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met and greeted by our representative. He will briefly take you through the trip plan and then transfer you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. You will have a brief stopover at Ellen DE generous museum for virtual gorilla trekking. You will then cross the border and proceed with your journey to Mgahinga national park.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural tour

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla trekking guidelines. You will go with packed lunch, enough drinking water and hiking equipment. At the park headquarters, you will be assigned the armed ranger guides who will be with you throughout the trekking experience and they will brief you about how long it will take you to locate the gorillas. Sometimes, the trek can be strenuous because of the terrain. Locating the mountain gorillas can take between 1 to 5 hours depending on where the gorillas slept the previous night. Once you find the gentle giants, you will be permitted to spend with them I hour observing them, interacting with them and taking pictures.

Day 3: Transfer to the airport for the flight back home.

This is the last day of your 3 days gorilla trekking adventure. After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer back to Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
