11-Day Ultimate Rwanda Gorillas and Kenya Safari with Giraffe Centre
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Upon touching down at Kigali international airport, you will meet our driver guide at the arrivals with a placard bearing your name. He will transfer you to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes national park
Following breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to the Kigali city center for the city tour. You will visit destinations such as Gisozi genocide museum, Belgium museum, parliament, craft markets, art galleries among others. Afterwards, you will have lunch and then embark on the journey to Volcanoes national park.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking & Ibwiwachu cultural tour
Following early breakfast, you will get into the safari vehicle for the transfer to the Kinigi park headquarters. At the park quarters, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of gorilla you trekking. After briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family and each gorilla family will comprise of 8 clients. At around 8:30am, tourists will be transferred to the starting points of gorilla trekking and each group will be allocated an armed ranger guide. Gorilla trekking takes between 1 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla movements that day. When you meet the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend with them 1 hour taking pictures, watching them play, feed and nurture their young ones.
In the evening, you will visit the Ibwiwachu village to participate in traditional dances, poems and learn more about their way of life.

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking & transfer to Kigali for the flight to Nairobi
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes national park for yet another adventurous encounter. Golden monkey trekking ends early in the afternoon. Afterwards, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and freshening up. After lunch, you will be Kigali international airport for the flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Nairobi, the driver guide will transfer you to the hotel for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Nairobi city tour
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Nairobi city center for the city tour. You will visit the renown Nairobi national park for sunrise game drive, David Sheldrick elephant orphanage to interact with the elephants, Karen Blixen museum to acquire more knowledge about Kenya’s colonial history, Giraffe center to acquire more knowledge about giraffes and finally the Masai market for shopping some souvenirs.

Day 6: Transfer to Amboseli national park
Following breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and drive southwards to Amboseli national park. This national park is famous for breathtaking Mount Kilimanjaro views and huge elephant herds. The transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli takes approximately 4-5 hours driving and this means you will arrive at the park at lunch time. During the afternoon hours, you will go for your first game drive. Please keep your eyes open for lions, cheetahs, elephants, and numerous bird species.

Day 7: Full day exploring Amboseli national park
Today you will spend the whole day exploring the beauties of Amboseli national park. Start the day with early morning breakfast and go for the morning game drive. Morning hours is the best time to spot animals because they are very active before the sun comes out. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, you will go back to the park for yet another exciting game drive and exploring different areas of Amboseli. You will also get the opportunity of visiting the Masai village to acquire more information about the traditions and culture.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to Lake Nakuru national park. This transfer takes approximately6-7 hours driving and along the way, you will have a stopover for enroute lunch. Upon arrival at the park in the afternoon, you will check-in as you enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and the park. Late in the afternoon, you will go for the first game drive with high chances of spotting rhinos, giraffes, flamingoes among others.

Day 9: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Following early breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to the world’s renown Maasai Mara national reserve. This transfer takes approximately 5-6 hours driving hence you will arrive at the park at lunch time. Upon reaching at Masai mara, you will check-in at the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon game drive. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive in the plains Masai Mara a place of residence to plenty of wildlife inclusive of leopards, lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Full day Masai mara
Start the day with early morning breakfast and then drive to the reserve to search animals that are most active in the morning hours. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation. In the mid-morning, you will either go for a guided nature walk or pay a visit to the Maasai village. After a hot lunch, you will head back to the park for yet another exciting game drive and searching for animals such as giraffes, warthogs, baboons, warthogs, hyenas, impalas, topis, wildebeest, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, lions and cheetahs.

Day 11: Transfer to Nairobi
Today being your final day of the safari, you will have breakfast and embark on the journey to Nairobi with an enroute game drive. Upon arrival at Nairobi, you will have lunch and then drive to the airport for the flight to the nest destination.
