Incredible 9-Day Rwanda Gorillas and Masai Mara Big 5 Safari
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Upon touching down at Kigali international airport, you will meet our driver guide at the arrivals with a placard bearing your name. He will transfer you to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes national park
Following breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and transfer to the Kigali city center for the city tour. You will visit destinations such as Gisozi genocide museum, Belgium museum, parliament, craft markets, art galleries among others. Afterwards, you will have lunch and then embark on the journey to Volcanoes national park.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking & Ibwiwachu cultural tour
Following early breakfast, you will get into the safari vehicle for the transfer to the Kinigi park headquarters. At the park quarters, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of gorilla you trekking. After briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family and each gorilla family will comprise of 8 clients. At around 8:30am, tourists will be transferred to the starting points of gorilla trekking and each group will be allocated an armed ranger guide. Gorilla trekking takes between 1 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla movements that day. When you meet the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend with them 1 hour taking pictures, watching them play, feed and nurture their young ones.
In the evening, you will visit the Ibwiwachu village to participate in traditional dances, poems and learn more about their way of life.

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking & boat ride along twin lakes
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes national park for yet another adventurous encounter. Golden monkey trekking ends early in the afternoon. Afterwards, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and freshening up. After lunch, you will be transferred to the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo for the breathtaking boat ride.

Day 5: Transfer to the airport for the flight to Nairobi
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge for the transfer back to Kigali international airport for the flight to Nairobi. Upon touching down at Jomo Kenyatta international airport, our driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for relaxation. If time allows, you will be taken for the Nairobi city tour.

Day 6: Transfer to Masai mara with evening game drive
After a tasty breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and 8am and embark on the journey to Masai mara with breathtaking views of the great rift valley. The transfer from Nairobi to Masai mara takes approximately 6 hours driving. You will have a brief stopover at the greatrift valley viewpoint to appreciate the dazzling views of the world’s largest valley. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge for lunch and prepare for an evening game drive. This game drive will start at 3pm permitting you to spot the spectacular wildlife this wildlife has got to offer like the big cats namely leopards, lions, cheetahs to elephants, rhinos and wildebeest. The guide will do his best to ensure that you spot the big five animals.

Day 7: Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara
Today after breakfast, you will go for two game drives. The morning game drive will start as early as 7am to ensure that you spot the early risers. The morning and afternoon game drives will take you to search for the big five of Africa and the wide range of other wildlife residing in the enormous Kenyan game reserve. On cloudless days, the Mara provides marvelous orange-tinged sundown that are very stunning for photos. In the vast Masai hyenas, everywhere you go you will spot abundance of wildlife like giraffes, warthogs, baboons, warthogs, hyenas, impalas, topis, wildebeest, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, hippos among others.
Seeing lions is very common either when they are sunbathing after a hearty meal or inspecting the mara plains for their next meal. Leopards and cheetahs and leopards are rarely spotted however moderately common.

Day 8: Full day Masai Mara
Today you will go for two game drives one in the morning and the other one in the afternoon. The morning game drive will be done between 7am to 9am and the afternoon game drive will be done at 3pm. Alternatively, you can either add the Masai village visit or the hot air Baloon safari as optional activities.

Day 9: Transfer to Nairobi for the flight to the next destination
Following a hearty breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to Nairobi with a brief game drive. You will have an enroute lunch stopover before proceeding to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
